The Electronic Health Library of BC provides the academic and health care community of British Columbia with easy access to online health library resources. The purpose of the e-HLbc is to support and improve practice, education, and research in the health sciences.

Members include all publicly funded BC post-secondary institutions providing health education, the BC Ministry of Advanced Education, the BC Ministry of Health, the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development, all BC Health Authorities, the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons, and a number of BC health professional organizations.

    On December 5, 2016, the e-HLbc Steering Committee gathered at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel to celebrate e-HLbc's 10th anniversary and discuss the consortium's future priorities.

    In planning for future priorities, the participants at the event discussed maintaining e-HLbc's current package of core resources, investigating new resources for licensing, providing members with technical and administrative support, and increasing the consortium's membership.

    We are pleased to announce a new affiliate member has joined e-HLbc - the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC). The College is primarily responsible for registering nurses and setting standards of practice in the province.  The e-HLbc consortium currently comprises 49 members from the post-secondary, health, and government sectors.
