The Electronic Health Library of BC provides the academic and health care community of British Columbia with easy access to online health library resources. The purpose of the e-HLbc is to support and improve practice, education, and research in the health sciences.

Member organizations include all publicly funded BC post-secondary institutions providing health education, the BC Ministry of Advanced Education, the BC Ministry of Health, the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development, all BC Health Authorities, and the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons.

    The Fall issue of the e-HLbc newsletter, e-Wire Magazine, is now available.  This issue features an interview with Gwen Bird, Simon Fraser University's new Dean of Library Services and University Librarian, the use of e-HLbc resources by Providence Health Care nurses participating in the Practice-based Research Challenge, and a feature article on the evolution of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, now available as an e-HLbc subscription.  Enjoy!

    Lisa Dennis, EBSCO Training Specialist, will be giving two workshops, one in Vancouver and one in Victoria, to e-HLbc member institutions on e-HLbc's Core Suite EBSCO resources (CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycARTICLES, PsycINFO, etc.).  Refreshments will be provided for those attending in person.
