The Electronic Health Library of BC provides the academic and health care community of British Columbia with easy access to online health library resources. The purpose of the e-HLbc is to support and improve practice, education, and research in the health sciences.

Member organizations include all publicly funded BC post-secondary institutions providing health education, the BC Ministry of Advanced Education, the BC Ministry of Health, the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development, all BC Health Authorities, and the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons.

The e-HLbc Case for Renewal 2012 is now available to Members. The Case for Renewal presents negotiation outcomes, content pricing, administrative fees and institutional costs for the e-HLbc core suite of health information resources from 2012/13 to 2014/15. By supporting this Case, e-HLbc members recommit to e-HLbc's vision and mission and advance its most critical strategic direction - maintaining and growing licensed collections so that the BC post-secondary and health care community has high quality cost-effective and easily accessible health library resources to support and im

The new issue of the e-HLbc newsletter e-Wire is now available! This issue features a member profile of Fraser Health, an organization dedicated to evidence-based resources, and the largest health authority in BC. Also featured in this issue is the success story of Jeanette Foreman of Northern Health, who credits e-HLbc with improving rural access to evidence-based resources "100%".

In This Section

I teach G.P.s from around the province who become part of our FPON (Family Practice Oncology Network). Twice a year we have new students, and one of the things that I do is show them how to use the e-HLbc resources, as they are common to all B.C. health professionals. The doctors are grateful to know about the resources and they are really grateful to learn how to search them better.
